Which is better, to eat before your workout routine or after? It depends on your exercise goals. If your goal is to build muscle, you’ll want to fuel up before you work out. If your aim is weight loss, you’ll want to eat afterward.

You’ll tap into your fat stores faster if you work out on an empty stomach, kickstarting ketosis. Conversely, if you complete your workout routine on an empty stomach, you could get lightheaded or nauseous. Your best bet might be to eat something light beforehand, such as an apple or banana. This should be consumed a 30- 40 minutes before hitting the gym so the digestion process has a chance to convert the fruit into glycogen.

Whether you eat or not, you must stay hydrated. If you’re exercise routine lasts longer than 15 or 20 minutes, be sure to drink during your workout. Come by tomorrow to learn the right amount of water to drink before, during and after you busta move!
